A Golden Day by Solitairemiles A Golden Day by Solitairemiles
A Golden Day
by Paul Laurence Dunbar

I Found you and I lost you,
All on a gleaming day.
The day was filled with sunshine,
And the land was full of May.

A golden bird was singing
Its melody divine,
I found you and I loved you,
And all the world was mine.

I found you and I lost you,
All on a golden day,
But when I dream of you, dear,
It is always brimming May

This was inspired by the work of Maxfield Parrish.

I realize this piece was inspired by Parrish, but it reminds me also very much of Arthur Hughes.

I have a blog for the Pre-Raphaelites, and I wondered if you would mind me featuring this on my blog? (giving proper credit/links of course)

So lovely. (Reminds me more of Holman-Hunt.)
